It’s been nearly a year since thousands of Memphians took to the streets and stopped traffic on the I-40 bridge. The march followed the police shooting death of Philando Castile, just one black man in the long list of people of color who have lost their lives at the hands of the police.
We are looking for stories from this moment and movement, one of the largest spontaneous protests in Memphis history. If you were on the bridge that night, we want to hear from you. Contact us at staywoke@mlk50.com or fill out this form. You can also reach us through Facebook and Twitter.
