We at MLK50 are committed to journalism that makes a tangible difference in people’s lives. To do that work well, we must also be committed to our own health, both mental and physical. That is why we take pauses to rest and recharge.

Our team will take a break beginning today. Our website will be silent, although on our social media channels, we’ll be continuing our NewsMatch campaign. We will return to writing stories calling out racial injustice and socioeconomic inequality on Jan. 3.

In the meantime, we hope you enjoy the holiday season.
