Mozell Smith is a breast cancer survivor with a hunch about what made her sick. She lives in Boxtown, the Southwest Memphis neighborhood that has seen many industrial facilities spring up during Smith’s lifetime.
“This neighborhood always gets the brunt of whatever the other neighborhoods don’t want,” she said.
